We are excited to invite you to our Campus Family Picnic Day on March 5th in celebration of Texas Public Schools & Read Across America Week! Parents and guardians are welcome to join their student(s) for lunch and enjoy a book together.
Event Details:
• Date: March 5th
• Time: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM (Williams St. Gate opens at 10:00 AM for setup)
• Location: Campus Grounds
Sack lunches will be available for students if you choose not to bring outside food, and Kona Ice will be available for purchase. If you are unable to attend, rest assured that students will still participate in the fun.
We encourage you to bring a favorite storybook to read with your child during the picnic. If you don’t have one, we will have a cart of books available to share.
RSVP forms will be sent home today in students’ Red Roadrunner Folders. Please return them as soon as possible so we can prepare an accurate number of sack lunches.
Attached you will find our campus flyers with additional information about the picnic. We look forward to celebrating this special day with you and fostering a love for reading! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

We’re excited to kick off our Smith PTA Annual Spring Fundraiser to help support student activities on our campus! This year, we’re selling World’s Finest Chocolate Variety Pack bars for $2 each. Each participating student will receive one box (40 bars / $80 value) to sell. While we encourage every student to sell at least one box, our goal is for students to sell two boxes ($160 total) to maximize support for our school.

#WeAreSmith 💛 PROUD of our 5th Grade Science and Math Rockstar Teachers! 🎉 On Friday, they showcased their amazing talents by presenting to CCISD teachers from across the entire district! Their session, “The Formula for Fluency: Science Journals & Virtual Word Walls,” highlighted innovative strategies to support student learning.✨ Participants learned how to design a Digital Vocabulary Wall using Canvas Modules or Pages, create a reusable C.E.R. (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning) template for student assignments, and explore effective ways to provide feedback on digital science writing. ✍️ Way to represent Smith!
